♡Red and White Quinoa Salad♡

Ok so quinoa is like my new favorite thing ever! It’s a type of seed although it can be prepared just like rice. Quinoa is a complete protein, containing all eight amino acids and has been recognised by the United Nations as a supercrop for its health benefits. Whats even better is that it is so versatile that it can be eaten with almost anything!

Being a student, i’m always trying to come up with cheap, easy and QUICK meals to avoid grabbing the supernoodles or cheesy pasta out of my cupboard, so the other day me and my flatmate decided to play chef and see what tasty dish we could come up with!

We ended up creating a sort of pepper and tomato warm quinoa salad, which actually tasted pretty nice, although next time I think adding some chorizo along with the chicken and veg would give the dish a little extra flavour! But the great thing about this recipe is that you can change it to suit you! So easy, so quick, so yummy!

Happy cooking!

(Ps, the lack of blogging was due to having no wifi for ten days, but i'm back for good now..yay!!)

♡My go to Autumn Makeup♡

My favourite thing about a change in season is getting to switch up my makeup. Now that summer feels well and truly over, and Autumn is fast approaching I thought I'd share with you my go to everyday makeup for the A/W months. (All products used linked below)

A dark lip is my favourite thing to do and is sure to be a huge trend this season. Pairing it with a simple winged liner and slightly bolder eyebrows makes for a perfect, quick and simple everyday look.

♡LONDON HAUL♡

Naturally, one out of our three days Lauren and I spent in London last weekend, was dedicated to shopping! I plan on doing a separate lifestyle post detailing everything that I got up to on my recent trip to London//Cambridge, but for now, I thought I'd let you take a peek at the goodies I picked up while I was in the UK's capital.

First stop was Topshop where I picked up this white long line blazer. Oversize is going to be huge this season so I definitely wanted in on the trend! White is such a universal colour and easily goes with anything so I know i'm going to the wear out of it.
Next up we went to Zara where I splashed out a bit and bought some tartan trousers (hitting the nail on the head with the punk trend here!), this delicate lightweight blouse, perfect for everyday wear, and then lastly, my number one find of the trip- these gorgeous miu miu-esque leather flats shown above. UGH SO PRETTY!!

My favourite purchase of the trip was definitely from Jo Malone. I have been DYING to get my hands on some goodies from them for some while now and I finally gave in and bought the Blackberry and Bay cologne. I opted for the smaller size juuuust to make sure i'd be able to take it back on the plane without any hassle (I get so paranoid about these things!) so i'm going to need to make sure I use it sparingly! It's categorized as a fruity perfume, although it's not sickly sweet like you might imagine, it's warm, aromatic and has a gorgeous dark fruitiness to it. And it's lasting power is INSANE!! A couple of spritzes and it lasts me the full day! Take a bow Jo Malone, you are sensational!

The last notable product I picked up, was a new lipstick from MAC. Oh MAC, how can I resist you! I really wanted a new, darker lipstick for Autumn/Winter as most of the lipsticks I own are very light, mostly pinkish shades. I was torn between Dark Skies and Cyber, but in the end decided to go for Dark Skies as I felt Cyber was just slightly too dark.

The colour is so so beautiful! This rich plum shade is perfect as we approach the colder months. I am obsessed!!

Amongst all that, I also picked up a cheap eyebrow pencil from Maybelline and some goodies from Murdock for the boyf!

And thats that! A sensible amount of purchases I think, especially since I usually go overboard and am laden down with luggage on the way home from all the spending!

♡BABYLIPS♡

Raise your hand if you're as obsessed with babylips as I am...

Yes that right, babylips have finally made it to the UK and I couldn't be more excited!
I have been testing these adorable little lip balms for around a month now and I thought i'd take the time to share my views.

For a start, this product is a lot more than just a pretty little addition to my handbag, I am actually so impressed at what these sticks of balm have to offer!

Firstly, the colour pay-off is a lot better than I was expecting (see below). Each of the lip balms have a distinct colour and scent which makes them versatile with any makeup look.

"Pink Punch"

"Cherry Me"

"Peach Kiss"
The texture of the product is lovely. The solid balm just melts onto your lips and it is very easy and comfortable to wear. The longevity of the balms surprised me as well, I found I was having to top up around every 2/3hrs, which gave me longer wear than I was expecting.

Maybelline claims that "after one week, lips are visibly renewed, virtually reborn". Im not sure how much I agree with this statement to be honest. I haven't noticed any virtual changes to my lips, they do feel slightly softer but I wouldn't go as far as "virtually reborn"

All in all, for £2.99 these are a bargain and totally worth it. If you haven't already, I would definitely get your hands on these bad boys! They are super cute and give a gorgeous sheen sure to perk up any makeup look!

Until next time,
Stay classy

♡AUTUMN WISHLIST // KEY STYLE PICKS♡

Lately, I found myself experimenting with outfits a lot more. My style is constantly evolving-and this time is heading towards a more minimalistic and casual approach, with the exception of a few accent pieces (such as a patterned trouser or shirt)
After discovering and becoming stupidly obsessed with WEWOREWHAT, I am just itching to update my wardrobe.

That being said, here's my autumn wishlist. The pieces range from chunky knits and oversized coats, to ripped jeans and tartan mini's, with each item complying with this seasons key trends.
